Cognos Connection is the portal to ReportNet, the Web-based reporting solution. The portal provides a single access point to all corporate data available in ReportNet.
You can use the portal to run reports that are available for public viewing as well as create reports and edit reports to satisfy your own requirements.
Administrators use the portal to administer servers, optimize performance, and set access permissions. They also use the portal for report administration, including scheduling reports and distributing reports.
Cognos Connection is the portal interface to ReportNet, a Web application for creating and managing ad hoc and managed reports. Cognos portal is used to do the following actions.
- To view public reports
- To create and edit ad hoc reports
- To schedule and distribute reports
- To personalize the portal to meet your needs
